SPRING SCHOOL
ADVANCED TRAINING: CONFLICTS AND NEGOTIATION

Thirteen-day advanced training program, titled: Spring School on Conflicts and Negotiation took place from the 13th until the 25th of May 2005 in Belgrade and Guca (Serbia, SCG).

This project was planed and carried out under the financial support of the Region of Tuscany and under the leadership of Forum for Ethnic Relations from Belgrade as the main implementing partner of the University of Florence – DISPO and in cooperation with the Faculty of Political Sciences – University of Belgrade and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Montenegro.

Opening Ceremony

The inauguration of the Spring School took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Montenegro – Diplomatic Academy with the opening ceremony. Speakers at the opening ceremony were: Zoran Stanojevic, Director of the Diplomatic Academy, Professor Leonardo Morlino, Co-Rector of DISPO – University of Florence, Dušan Janjic, Ph.D., Coordinator of the Forum for Ethnic Relations, Milan Podunavac, Dean of Faculty of Political Sciences – University of Belgrade and Živorad Kovacevic, Ambassador retired, President of the Educational board of the Diplomatic Academy.

After the opening statements students listened to the lecture of Professor Leonardo Morlino, University of Florence on “DEMOCRATIZATION PROCESS IN EASTERN AND SOUTHERN EUROPE"
